Again we had a great meeting and a great turnout for this time of year with this heat. Our speaker was Captain Jim Huddleston and he spoke on that bruising Redfish. Capt Jim talked about how to fish them in this heat, how to approach them, what types of bait to use, where they are heading in this hot weather and how to get them out of there. Capt Jim answered all questions that were thrown at him. Again it was a very good and informative meeting.
For the members that did'nt make the meeting I have to tell you about the fishing
trip that Dave, Jim, Marie, Ann and I took out of St. Pete a couple of weeks ago
aboard an ole navy boat. It is very slow and don't go more that 7 or 8 miles off shore
and we trolled going out and coming back, we had a great time, caught a lot of fish
topping it off with Dave's 44 1/2" King Mackerel. What a fight (about 30 minutes).
Couple of pictures on the left.
